When I think of Ian or "Uncle Ian" as I've known him, I always picture him with a smile and his lovely twinkly eyes, probably with his bicycle by his side and a gentle joke or two, and always full of energy and ideas. It was lovely when he and Sylvia came over to visit my then young daughter and I in London. I was incredibly moved when he passed on his father's infamous Emu puppet (pictured) to me, and she remains a much loved member of our family and source of happiness, and a lovely memory of Ian and Eric.
