Ian was always so kind and quietly inspiring. I’ll never forget how he tirelessly took us all to cyclo cross in the VW camper. He was the first man I remember not just saying but showing me that sport was for girls as much as boys. He had such a generous spirit and you could feel willing you on. I will always be grateful for his influence in my life and opening up the world of sport to me. Rest in peace Ian. Forever in gratitude.
